They will be needing eight new characters to be played in the first episode of season three of Heroes. They are in search mostly for people in the medical field and into news reporting (sounds like a commotion on the streets, do I hear ambulance sirens and news reporters all over?), but one who seems to be a major role, lucky is the person who gets cast in as Jesse. The Jesse is expected to be around 28-38 year old male with an intense temper. He could be violent, cruel and mean-looking (maybe he will be an antagonist?), and he will be frequently seen in other episodes.

So, NBC announced its TV schedule for the next year and, unfortunately, there wasn’t anything really gay on the schedule. (Our sister site has reasons to be hopeful for Knight Rider, however.)

One bit of bad news is that the Heroes spin-off, Origins, is dead. I was looking forward to the spin-off, which had recruited some big names to direct episodes, including Kevin Smith.

Some of the greatest science fiction TV shows of all time have vanished, almost without a trace. They don’t get DVDs or listed in articles on the “Top 50 Science Fiction Shows of All Time.” Despite achieving true greatness, they don’t even get as much praise or critical attention as Alf. Here’s our countdown of the ten greatest unappreciated masterpieces of science fiction television.

A few months ago, Kristine Bells character was unsure if she’ll be coming back next season. Bell wants to come back for another run, but itseems negotiations are still on going.

Here’s an excerpt of her interview with Movies Online:

MoviesOnline: Did the writers strike shorten your Heroes arc? Was there more we would have seen?

KRISTEN BELL: Yes and there’s more that you will see. It interrupted my Heroes arc.

MoviesOnline: The rumor is that you weren’t coming back.

KRISTEN BELL: If I don’t come back, it will be because we didn’t work it out. I want to go back. As far as I’m concerned, I am going back. I’m not under contract but I’ve had such a good relationship with them and I’ve had so much fun doing it and had such a great storyline and I’ve shot two episodes that won’t air until we shoot the entire arc. I did take a movie unfortunately because I’m not under contract with them in New York for 12 weeks. So I’ll be about 4 weeks late coming back to when they shoot but as of right now the negotiation that’s going on is that they’ll be able to file my scenes in and I’ll just shoot a condensed version right when I get back and then catch up to everyone else and they don’t air until September so they have the ability to do that.

Well, it seems that her character’s new power is flying, because her role in Heroes is still up in the air.

Every year during the month of May, each of the major networks delivers their Upfront Presentations to advertisers and reporters. These events usually offer loads of entertainment as each network attempts to overshadow their competitors. NBC decided to do things a little different this year and skipped the usual fanfare by getting right to the heart of the matter by presenting an “In front” for the advertisers.

Premonition of nuclear apocalypse created a larger context that unified every story line last season. Kring now sees that Volume 2 (the first 11 episodes of season 2) would have been better served if Peter’s vision of viral Armageddon had appeared in the season premiere rather than episode 7. ”We took too long to get to the big-picture story,” he says.

Good news for all Heroes fans: the super hero TV series has been renewed for a fourth season according to a statement from Angela Bromstad, NBC’s entertainment president.

According to the statement, NBC plans to renew Heroes for another season that will span anywhere from 18-20 episodes. This may be due to lower rating compared to previous seasons. However, the unorthodox super hero TV series remains to be one the network’s highest rated series among adult viewers aged 18-49.

NBC is also trying to capitalize on Heroes’ international popularity, as Bromstad acknowledges the good performance of the show in other countries. Futhermore, Bromstad also says that the network will not be shutting Heroes down – not yet at least – with season 4. This is due to the clamor for some for an end date to be set, similar to what was done in Battlestar Galactica.

season3The current season has been running since last year with the plot thickening for our select main characters. As they have found out, there are many other out there in the world, some good, some bad with most just wishing to forget about their abilities and live normal lives. Our heroes will never get rest fro the amount of information known about them is simply too great for them to forget so easily. They are fighting friends and establishing alliances with previous foes, as the twisting and turning of the plot takes all of us to a clearer understanding of how they really got their powers.
Mohinder, the genius scientist who tries to help these people afflicted by their curse tries to find a cure to reverse their powers art first ending up as one of the pawns of deception to capture them. The new season is to bring more intrigue and would be bringing out more questions than answers as before. These humans with superpowers might be the only hope of the world against those who seek to destroy all others like them and even end up killing us all. At the back of all that, the menace Sylar who seeks to gain all the powers of the mutants to possess as his own, pops out from nowhere time and time again as the saga continues in the lives of our heroes.

With the series seemingly in jeopardy as the recession takes hold, people are still watching the TV series that has so captured the world. We have Hiro traveling to and fro time without purpose seeking for a new challenge to dawn on him. He receives a DVD disk made by his father for him before his death which he promptly watches. Along with sidekick Ando whom his father has left the company to, they learn about a secret that is contained within a safe that he finds containing half a formula written on a piece of paper that swiftly dissapears right before their very eyes. He travel back in time and sees a young lady traveling fast and snatching the paper seemingly unaffected by his ability to stop time.
Peter travels back in time to stop his brother from revealing to the world their abilities and shoots him twice sending him to the hospital. There he awakes but discontinues to inform the world of their secret abilities which was what Peter set out to do. Syler goes after Claire and gets to her assimilating her powers but surprisingly without killing her. She heals as well as Syler who she stabs as he was subduing her.
The plot thickens and it should for the true purpose of their lives are to be revealed in the coming episodes (should they continue for many series are being dropped) as the writers work hard to keep their audiences captivated in the lives of these amazing mutants(nope, they’re not akin to the X-Men) who wait for destiny to unravel in the TV Series hit that is Heroes.

Heroes is really going down. It is now time to make the move before it is too late. For the last few months, the previously strong viewers getter has sunk to its all time low. Its undeniable that Heroes requires some fixing. The series has recently added the former Everwood actor, Justin Baldoni to beef up its cast. But the truth is, the problem is not with its cast. In this regard, Heroes creator, Tim Kring is going back to drawing board. This time he promises to make the Heroes story lines simpler as the latest trend dictates. It is to note that Kiring is undertaking a major overhaul of the entire series in the wake of the recent termination of his two right-hand collaborators.
